The wine company Adrian Mathier Nouveau Salquenen

In 1975 a new cellar was built by our parents in a visionary style which corresponded to the requirements of the time. In the following 33 years many things changed and the time had come to make changes in the building with regard to functionality, aesthetics and quality. Since the business as a whole had grown, a large number of the bottles as well as the wine casks were stored elsewhere in other buildings. We therefore decided to build a storage room for the bottles and a cellar for the casks underground, directly under the existing buildings. With an air humidity of 60%and a constant temperature of 10°C we can store our wines in optimal conditions without any additional refrigeration. The fact of having all our wines under the same roof means we avoid the cost of transport to and from external store rooms, which is ecologically much more sensible. We are also convinced that with the new cask cellar the quality of our wines can be yet further improved.

Top quality products also require a room worthy of them. The existing reception room had provided good service for decades and many friendships were formed in this small but charming room. The character of the new reception area combines modernity with tradition and sets a new standard in wine architecture. The aim is to make it possible for our customers to enjoy an optimal tasting of our wines in a pleasant, quiet atmosphere. In our new premises our guests should be able to sense and see the spirit of our wines.

With the new Kulinarium we have the possibility of offering wine-tasting for groups the whole year round. In this room we intend also to organize culinary occasions to treat our guests to something special.

Finally we have also designed the outer facades, the surroundings and the children’s play area to our own satisfaction. Come to pay us a visit and discover the new ambiance for yourselves.
