Of the three award-winning Valais wines, the traditional family winery Adrian &amp; Diego Mathier Nouveau Salquenen AG alone won two gold medals with the two Merlots &#8220;Nadia Mathier&#8221; from the 2010 and 2011 vintages.   <\/p>\n\n<p>No fewer than 161 producers from 17 countries entered 320 wines to receive one of the coveted awards. Of the total of 34 gold medals, three were also awarded to Valais wines.
