The measure annoys winegrowers. And amuses other wine cantons.  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>These days, tons and tons of grapes are being crushed up and down the country. The work in the vineyards will soon be over, and now it&#8217;s time to work on harmonious quality wines in the wine cellar. But the harmony in the wine industry has evaporated at the moment. The frustration, disappointment and anger are great.   <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>The reason:<\/strong> the canton of Valais is lowering the minimum amount of sugar that grapes must contain in order to receive the AOC label. Valais Minister of Agriculture Christophe Darbellay (Le Centre) informed the media of this unusual step on Monday. The announcement caused a stir in the wine industry.
