Outstanding winners included Domaine Claudy Clavien from Miège, Valais, which received the title “Winery of the Year,” as well as Adrian & Diego Mathier Nouveau Salquenen AG, which was once again honored as “Winery of the Decade.” Fernand Cina SA and the Seewer Winery, both also from Valais, demonstrated further outstanding performance. The “Prix Vinissimo Coup de Coeur” and the “Prix Vin Bio” were awarded to excellent wines from Salgesch and Geneva. In the Riesling-Silvaner and Gamay categories, wineries from Zurich and the Valais dominated, while the best Pinot Noir surprisingly came from Thurgau. With over 50,000 wines tasted over the past 20 years, the GPVS is the most important platform for Swiss wines, even though some prominent winemakers do not participate.

…

Find out more here

Winery of the Decade: Adrian & Diego Mathier from Salgesch, Valais.
