Sensational Muscat wine harvest 2023
The 2023 grape harvest in the wine village of Salgesch began a few days ago. While most grape varieties, especially the specialties, are still maturing for a few days in the Valais vineyards between Turtmann and Chamoson, Muscat is already being harvested at Mathier. This will later be refined into Muscat La Fiancée in the wine cellar.
And this first Muscat harvest in 2023 is a delight in every respect. Healthy, full grapes that reveal the typical Muscat aroma with an exceptional fullness of flavor as soon as they are unloaded. Rarely before has the Muscat shown such high quality during cellaring. A promising start to the 2023 harvest, which is expected to last until the end of October 2023.
