Immediately after the opening of the BnB Vino Veritas, the Diego Mathier family’s wine vacation concept received the coveted Global Winner – Best of Wine Tourism award for outstanding service and impeccable wine-related service.

After winning the Best of Wine Tourism award in Mainz, Germany, the Adrian & Diego Mathier winery also came out on top against strong international competition in the final of the international Public Choice Award. Diego Mathier’s sustainable wine tourism concept impressed the jury of 72 experts and secured him the title of Global Winner. The 66 finalists then faced the global public in seven categories, and Diego Mathier won with the most votes.
Diego Mathier’s concept focuses on unforgettable wine experiences with impeccable service and a high level of expertise. It includes wine tastings, guided hikes in the vineyards, overnight stays in the BnB Vino Veritas and culinary delights in the Barrique restaurant. The aim is to promote tourism in the Valais Rhône valley in a holistic and sustainable way and to connect the Rhône valley plain with the mountain regions.
