Impressions from the Valais vineyards

Here we are at the Domaine de l’Ambassadeur in Salgesch. One of our most beautiful vineyards, which has been in our possession for generations. We would like to start with video messages. In today’s message, I’ll tell you about the 2022 vintage. We didn’t have any frost this year. The temperatures, especially in May, were very high. The vines grew very quickly and we were only just able to keep up with the work, but with our combined efforts we are keeping to the schedule. It is now June 30th and we have all the vineyards ready, leafed out, cleaned, pruned and prepared for the summer. We are extremely early and are looking forward to a wonderful summer. We have the feeling that we will be able to harvest a good quantity of grapes. Tomorrow, July 1st, we will start with the harvest regulation, so that the juices that come into the cellar are as concentrated as possible. We expect an early harvest. At the end of August/beginning of September, the village will already begin to “ferment” and the wines will spread throughout the village in terms of taste.
