Today, the Grand Prix du Vin Suisse is as important for the Swiss wine industry as the “Gambero Rosso” is for the Italian wine scene. This is the opinion of Francois Murisier, President of the VINEA association, which organizes the Concours together with VINUM. He is enthusiastic about the quality level of the 72 wines selected for the final.

Well, not scary, but impressive. With around 3,100 wines entered, the Grand Prix is now almost the same size as renowned international concours such as the Vinalies Internationales Paris. This shows that the Grand Prix is now the central platform for top Swiss wines. Its importance is similar to that of the “Gambero Rosso” for Italian viticulture.
