REVIEW 2014 AND OUTLOOK 2015
Compared to the rest of the Swiss winegrowing sector, 2014 was a somewhat less difficult year for Valais. Nevertheless, we were confronted with exceptionally high levels of precipitation in July. The Suzuki fly (also known as the cherry vinegar fly), which sets its larvae in the grapes, only found its way to Valais when the ripeness of our grapes was already so far advanced that there was no longer any danger.
