Diamond wedding anniversary of Adrian and Rosmarie Mathier
We all know that it takes well over 60 years for a perfectly shaped diamond to form. But as an incredibly valuable and robust gemstone, which is also one of the hardest materials found on our planet, it is only right and proper that the sixtieth anniversary of marriage should be ennobled with this precious jewel. Because even after 60 years, the marriage is almost unbreakable, beautiful, precious and perfect.
And so, on August 19, 2023, Rosmarie and Adrian proudly celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary with their family in beautiful weather. They not only toasted their marital bliss with their favorite wine, the Cuvée Madame Rosmarie Mathier white and red. Their diamond wedding anniversary was also an opportunity to look back on a fulfilled life together as a winemaking couple.
After all, they were the third generation to decisively shape the traditional Adrian & Diego Mathier Nouveau Salquenen winery over many decades, laying an important foundation for its current success. Even though the path may not always have been easy, the two complemented each other perfectly, not only as a couple, but also when it came to successfully managing the fortunes of the winery.
While Rosmarie was a highly esteemed ambassador for Valais wine with her charming and engaging manner at trade fairs, in the Stübli at the winery and in her dealings with employees, Adrian took care of the well-being of the grapes as a winemaker and entrepreneur – from growing and caring for them in the vineyard to pressing and refining them in the wine cellar. On August 19 of this year, they both happily agreed that the past sixty years of married life together had been a wonderful and enriching gift for both of them.
