La Tradition wine line – Valais winegrowing culture

Wine is a cultural asset! The fine wines tell their drinkers – you – a lot about the land, the people and the customs. We are committed to this culture. With the wines of the La Tradition line, we want to preserve the cultural heritage of Valais viticulture for future generations.

The Romans and the French Empire had a significant influence on Valais, including local viticulture. Here in Valais, many grape varieties have been given a second home and are now considered indispensable elements of the Valais wine tradition.

With the support of modern technology and current knowledge, these traditional wines are still pressed today with great care and experience. In the La Tradition line, the use of oak barrels is deliberately avoided in order to preserve the purity of the fruit.

Find out more about the fine wines in the podcasts of the La Tradition line. The traditional white wines Fendant Du Ravin, Johannisberg Weidmannstrunk, Malvoisie la Valaisanne and Muscat la FiancĂ©e, the fine rosĂ© DĂ´le Blanche Frauenfreude and Å’il-de-Perdrix la Matze and our traditional red wines Gamay Mephisto, Sang de l’enfer and the two Pinot Noir Nouveau Salquenen and Lucifer.
