FAQ’s Taxanomyy

The tasting is generally free of charge for you. However, if you are unable to decide at the end of the tasting whether you would like to take the wine home with you, we would be happy to charge you a fee depending on the number of wines tasted. This can be between CHF 20 and CHF 50 per person.

No, individual guests do not need to register to taste our wines. The only exception is if you would like a Valais plate with your tasting, for example, we would ask you to reserve this in advance. However, if you would like to taste our wines with a group of more than six people, please book in advance.

In our traditional winery at Bahnhofstrasse 50 in Salgesch, you can taste our award-winning range to your heart’s content all year round from Monday to Friday from 08:00 – 12:00 and from 13:30 – 17:30. Of course, we are also happy to be there for you on Saturdays. From January to March we are open on this day of the week from 09.00 – 12.00 and from 13.30 – 16.00 and from April to December from 09.00 – 16.00.

You have the opportunity to choose from the entire range of our almost 60 wines. These include white wines, rosé wines, red wines, dessert wines, sparkling wines and spirits.

You are very welcome to extend your stay with us in Salgesch with additional program modules. For example, you have the option of eating in our Barrique restaurant before or after the wine tasting. For groups, we also offer guided themed hikes such as the “Emerald Lizard Trail” (approx. 60-90 minutes), the “Winegrower’s Trail through Hell” (approx. 60-90 minutes) or the half-day hikes “Grape Variety Hike” or “Bisse Hike”.

You can order Mathier wine by telephone, by e-mail, at one of the trade fairs where we are represented or, of course, during regular opening hours directly on site at our winery in Salgesch, at the Ritschard wine shop in Interlaken or at the Mathier & Bachmann wine cellar in Hochdorf / Lucerne. You can also order your wine around the clock from our online store.

No, there is no minimum order value. However, to ensure safe shipping, we recommend always ordering in units of 6.

Yes, you benefit when you order:

36 units at a 2% discount
60 units at a 3% discount
120 units at a 4% discount
180 units at a 5% discount
240 units at a 6% discount
300 units at a 7% discount

1 bottle of 50cl corresponds to ½ unit
1 bottle of 37.5cl corresponds to ½ unit

Once you have completed your order, it can no longer be adjusted or canceled. We will be happy to accept changes by telephone and take them into account if the goods have not already been packed or dispatched.

Yes, we usually send your ordered wines by post (VinoLog) or with a transport company.

Delivery is always made to Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein. Customers from abroad have the option of organizing their own transport.

We offer delivery for orders of 12 units or more. Up to 12 units we charge a transportation surcharge of CHF 15.00.

Yes, you have the option of picking up your ordered wine yourself.

You can pick up your ordered wine either at our winery in Salgesch, at the wine shop Ritschard in Interlaken or at the Salgescher Weinkeller Mathier in Hochdorf / Lucerne. Please note the respective opening hours.

If you come to collect your ordered wines, you can benefit from a discount of up to CHF 1 per unit. This is made up of the collection discount of CHF 0.70 per unit and the cash discount of CHF 0.30 per unit. If you pay by invoice, TWINT or credit card, you only benefit from the collection discount.

The minimum order value is CHF 50 and the value is freely selectable.

The voucher is valid for 5 years from the date of issue.

Gift vouchers can be ordered by phone, email or in person on site.

An invoice will be sent once the order has been received. As soon as payment has been received, the voucher will be sent by post. In urgent cases, we can also send the voucher by email for you to print out yourself.

Yes, the voucher can also be transferred. In this case, please let us know in writing to whom the voucher has been transferred so that we can record this in our system.

The gift voucher can be redeemed at the Adrian & Diego Mathier Nouveau Salquenen AG winery in Salgesch, at the Ritschard wine shop in Interlaken and at the Mathier & Bachmann wine cellar in Salgesch.

No, if you do not use up the entire amount when ordering, the remaining amount will be noted on the voucher for a subsequent order.

A right to return ordered goods only exists if it can be proven that the delivery is incorrect, if there are production defects or if there is transport damage that has occurred in the course of delivery. Any errors or defects must be reported immediately.

The goods must be returned in their original packaging, unused and complete.

Defective or damaged items are always inspected by us for the relevant defects in order to ensure the warranty claim. Adrian & Diego Mathier Nouveau Salquenen AG will treat damage caused by faulty material or manufacturing errors in the same way as the provisions for incorrect delivery. If there is a defect or damage for which Adrian & Diego Mathier Nouveau Salquenen AG is responsible, Adrian & Diego Mathier Nouveau Salquenen AG is entitled to choose between replacement or rectification of the defect.

In the event of an incorrect delivery, Adrian & Diego Mathier Nouveau Salquenen AG agrees to send the customer the correct item(s) if possible or otherwise to settle the order with a corresponding replacement (at the customer’s discretion) with the same value of goods. Cancellation of the order is not possible as long as the ordered item is available.

Yes, by prior arrangement you can also deliver the goods personally to our winery in Salgesch, to the Ritschard wine shop in Interlaken or to the Mathier wine cellar in Hochdorf / Lucerne.

In the online store, you can choose whether you want to pay in advance, by Mastercard, VISA or TWINT.

You can pay on site at the winery in Salgesch, at the Ritschard wine shop in Interlaken and at the Mathier wine cellar in Salgesch in Hochdorf / Lucerne in cash (only possible in Salgesch and Hochdorf), by Postcard, debit card, TWINT or with Mastercard and VISA credit cards.

If one of the bottles ordered has a tapped taste, we will reimburse this. The prerequisite for this is that the fault can be identified and the bottle is still at least ¾ full.

If the same vintage is still available, the tap wine will be exchanged. Otherwise, you will receive a credit note in the form of a voucher that you can redeem for a subsequent order.

We can only reimburse wine on tap if the bottle is returned to us. You have the option of returning them to our winery in Salgesch, to the Ritschard wine shop in Interlaken or to the Mathier wine cellar in Hochdorf / Lucerne. You can then either take new wine with you directly or you will receive a credit note from us which you can use for a subsequent order.

No, you have the option of using the value of the tap wine for any other wine.

Tap wine is reimbursed by us up to three years from the date of purchase.

Wines that are sealed with synthetic corks or screw caps or wines that have exceeded the recommended drinking age are excluded from the tap wine regulation.
